A voice whispered to me to kill my twin brother




Twenty-six-year-old Destiny John, popularly known as Mfon, who allegedly stabbed his twin brother, Israelite John, to death while the latter was sleeping, at their Somolu abode in Lagos, Monday, said that he acted upon the directive of a voice beyond his control.

The suspect, who was suspected of feigning insanity, also disclosed that the knife he used to stab his brother was given to him by a Pastor.

In an interview with Destiny, a First School Certificate holder said “ I and my late twin brother have been living with our elder brother for over five years. While my late twin brother was under apprenticeship as a cobbler, I joined my elder brother in his canteen business and was paid N5,000 per month.

Prior to the day tragedy struck, I bought a small power generating set and some alcoholic drinks . We had a nice time in our apartment before we all went to bed.

As we woke up in the morning, my late twin brother was still sleeping. But as I opened the net of our window, somebody covered my eyes and I could not see. I made for a kitchen knife and stabbed my brother.”

Asked where he got the weapon from, the Akwa Ibom state born suspect said “ The knife I used to stab my twin brother belongs to a pastor, who is also a policeman attached to Pedro police station
