Nandini, aged 19, has welcomed her first child on Monday, May 23. The baby girl was successfully deliverd via C-section at a government-run hospital in Hassan in southern state Karnataka, India.
The baby girl is yet to be named
The yet-to-be named babe is believed to be the biggest girl ever born in the world — she weighs a huge 6.8 kilogram — an average weigh of a six-month-old.
The newborn’s eyepopping size left everyone baffled –neither the young mother, who herself weighs 94 kg and is 175 tall, nor doctors monitoring her pregnancy expected such a heavy baby.
Dr Venkatesh Raju, the local health worker, expressed his surprise: “In my 25 years of experience, I had never seen such a big baby. She is a miracle.

I believe she is not only the heaviest baby born in India but the heaviest baby girl ever born in the world. I had personally gone to see her. She is a beautiful gift of God. I am happy that she is doing well.”
Despite her impressive size the girl was delivered without difficulties and is healthy. The baby is currently under the supervision of medics at the hospital’s neonatal intensive care unit who plan to discharge her in the next few days.
